The Conversion Formula from Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) Grading System to the Percentage of Marks in Bachelor of Engineering Courses BE, B.Tech of Central Institute of Technology [CIT ] Kokrajhar, Assam, India.
Conversion Formula: From Grades to P.C. of marks are as follows
For CGPA up to 9.00 : (10 x CGPA) – 5
For CGPA above 9.00 : (15 x CGPA) – 50
For Class – I : Minimum CGPA be 7.00
For Class – II : Minimum CGPA be 5.00
Example 1: If your final Semester CGPA is 9.2 then use the First formula.
(10 x CGPA)-5
so in my case , (10 x 9.2)-5 = 92-5 = 87%
Example 2 : If your final semester CGPA is 6.5 then Use the 2nd formula
i.e (15 X CGPA)-50
So in my case, (15 X 6.5)-50=97.5-50= 47.5 %
Therefore according to this formula 6.5 cgpa is equivalent to 47.5 percent of marks.
